Privacy Policy

Unbarria Sky (the “Service”) is a place for anonymous sky photos. This policy explains what the Service collects and what it does not collect.
Information We Collect
- Sky photos — photos you choose to leave in the Service. Images are re-encoded in the app and do not include metadata such as camera details or precise location data (EXIF).
- Coarse location — only when posting, your device converts location into a place label. In Japan, labels are roughly prefecture-level. Outside Japan, labels are roughly state, province, administrative area, and country-level. We do not store latitude, longitude, geohashes, or photo location metadata. Precise location is not sent outside your device. You can post without allowing location access.
- Anonymous identifier — a hash of a random ID generated on your device. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or accounts. This ID is protected by your iCloud Keychain with end-to-end encryption and can carry over when you change devices. We cannot identify you from this ID.
- Posting time and app version — used to provide and improve the Service.
- Purchase information — when you subscribe, we verify signed transaction information issued by the App Store and store only your plan state and expiration date. We do not receive your credit card information.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect names, email addresses, contacts, other photos in your photo library, or precise location. We do not use advertising tracking and we do not sell personal data to third parties.
How We Use Information
- To display skies in the timeline, archive, and widget.
- To moderate inappropriate posts and maintain safety.
- To manage service conditions such as daily posting limits and monthly download limits.
- To improve the Service and research or develop new features through aggregate, non-identifying analysis.
- To introduce and promote the Service.
Storage and Sharing
Data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure, including database and image storage. Purchases are processed through Apple’s App Store.
We do not sell personal data, provide anonymous identifiers to third parties, or provide posted skies as third-party datasets. Posted skies may be used by us to operate, improve, and introduce the Service. Data may be shared with service providers needed to operate the Service, or where required by law.
Retention and Deletion
Posted skies are stored until you delete them. You can request deletion of your posts and related data at any time from Settings → Data Deletion Request in the app. After a request, posts are hidden immediately, and images and location labels are fully deleted within several days.
Age
The Service is not available to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page. For important changes, we will also notify users in the app.
